This year marks the 15th Anniversary of the death of the great Japanese composer, Akira Ifukube. Pianist Reiko Yamada elaborates, “His music has strong life energy and soulfulness that will give power to audiences in the time of COVID-19. Ifukube’s musical power will not only heal the grief of disaster but also encourage strength to move forward.”
